Turmeric Falafel Pita

This pita ‘sandwich’ could be made with any Afia falafels, but we love the Afia Turmeric Falafel because of the great flavor and health benefits of turmeric. Not only is turmeric an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant, it is sure to tantalize your taste buds. Combined with fresh veggies and hummus, this pita should satisfy your craving for crunch and leave you with a full belly.  Add a side of lemon and sumac yogurt and you’ve got the perfect tang as well — it’s a vegetarian lunch combo that can’t go wrong!


Bakery pita bread
Spring greens
Chopped radishes
Chopped seedless cucumbers 
Your favorite hummus
Feta cheese crumbles
Afia Turmeric Falafel, prepared according to package directions 
Lemon wedges 
Sumac yogurt (add 1 tsp sumac to 1 cup yogurt)


1. Cut pita bread in half and warm by placing it on a medium heat pan for 45 seconds on each side. 

2. Fill with greens, veggies, hummus, and then add your heated falafel. 

3. Top with feta cheese crumbles. 

4. Serve with lemon wedges and sumac yogurt on the side.
