Recipe: Burrata Salad with Aleppo Pepper Vinaigrette

 A beautiful salad for your Instagram-worthy party, or just a treat for yourself that is shockingly easy to make! Try this easy vinaigrette with a touch of complex heat from Aleppo peppers on top of a simple salad of arugula, cherry tomatoes and burrata.

Servings: 2 entree-sized salads, or 4 sides

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup of olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar (try a fruit flavored one for an extra boost!)
  • 1 teaspoon of Afia Aleppo Pepper
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 balls of burrata cheese
  • 2 cups of cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 2 cups of arugula

Method

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, vinegar, Aleppo pepper, and salt

  2. Arrange arugula as your salad base. Place burrata in center, or tear into pieces when serving more people. Arrange halved cherry tomatoes around the burrata. 

  3. Drizzle dressing evenly over the salad. 

  4. Garnish with fresh herbs or micro-greens, or additional Aleppo pepper to taste!

  5. Serve, and enjoy!

Tips for the Perfect Salad

  • Fresh Ingredients: Use the freshest ingredients you can find for the best flavor.
  • Burrata: If you can't find burrata, fresh mozzarella can be a good substitute.
  • Flavored Vinegar: We like a fruit flavored balsamic vinegar, but a mild rice vinegar or whatever vinegar you like most makes an excellent substitute.
